itchy trigger finger

thank you, Anne, for the correction. you are right...Al Franken is "contemplating" a run against Norm Coleman for a seat on the U.S. Senate in 2008.
shows you how excited i am that he will be considering this. i also heard him make reference to himself running in the 2008 elections on "The Al Franken Show" on Air America.

Yes, the more mindless lunatics in politics, the more exicted you should be. What do you know about Al Frankin? Where did he go to school? What degrees does he have? Does he have ANY experience in public service? Other than the fact that he hates George Bush, what qualifications does he have for public office? sheesh.

Convenient that Lone Ranger has disabled comments on his own blogs.

Doesn't take much effort to look on wikipedia to answer some of your own questions.

Franken graduated from The Blake School in 1969, and Harvard University in 1973.

In 2003, Franken served as a Fellow with Harvard's Kennedy School of Government at the Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics, and Public Policy.

dear lone ranger,

read a damn book. or at least learn how to do a google search. franken was a ydfl activist growing up, he went to harvard, he wrote speeches for presidential candidate mo udall [i believe. it is possible that he merely covered udall.], he wrote an insanely well-researched (and funny!) book on political issues, and his show is, likewise, tremendously well-researched. the man may know his shit in an unorthodox way, but he knows his shit. ["knowing one's shit" is a more fun way of saying "has qualifications."]

sheesh.

also, having read his writing and listened to him speak, i'm pretty convinced that he hates bush's policies, not bush himself.

confidential to the owner of the blog: sorry about the tone here, dude. i'm not mean, but i reeeeeally like al.

Lone Ranger,

if you can bend your ear from Rush L., or Mike G. or, for God's sake, O'Reilly for more than 30 seconds, you will find that Al makes complete sense. well, actually YOU wouldn't. but that's okay...my friends and i like being right sometimes. have fun in Hell.
